AVENGERS INFINITY WAR "CAPTAIN AMERICA" DISCUSSION

Image
Chris Evans reprised his role for the eight consecutive years in a row, as Captain America, this year in Avengers Infinity War. With the character being in hiding since the events of 2016's Civil War, the character has changed a fair amount to what we last saw him as. Spoilers for Avengers Infinity War ahead as we will be discussing Steve Rogers in Infinity War, and his role in Avengers 4. Let's go. With a call from Bruce, Steve, Natasha, Sam, Wanda, and Vision get out of hiding in Scotland where they meet with Rhode and Bruce to go to Wakanda to protect Vision who has the mind stone in his forehead, which they plan to destroy. In Infinity War, Steve did not get that much of a role as many like myself were expecting.  He primarily was there to instruct the team to go to Wakanda as he knew that Bucky was there. There were a few awesome scenes with the character in the film. I loved that scene where he and Black Panther sprinted faster than everyone else towards the Outrider...

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR "IRON MAN" DISCUSSION

Image
So this is the first of the character discussions I want to do for Infinity War, so why not start off with the man who started it all, Robert Downey Jr, as Tony Stark, Iron Man. Here I will talk about the role of the character in the film, and what he will do in Avengers 4. So spoilers for Infinity War, let's get started. In the film, Tony is seen to be building new tech for the imminent alien invasion which comes in this film. At the beginning of the film, he is with Gwyneth Paltrow, who reprised her role as Pepper Potts. Tony tells her that he had a dream where they had a kid. I don't think that hints at the character having a kid, however, that is more of a nod to the idea that Tony is the father figure of Peter Parker, which shines more of an emotional light on that scene at the end of the film. From meeting Doctor Strange, Tony doesn't get on too well with him. I love this idea because most people were like, "well the two are basically the same", the fil...

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR POST CREDIT SCENE BREAKDOWN

Image
Avengers Infinity War follows the common Avengers tradition of only having one post credit scene. In Age Of Ultron (2015) we saw Thanos claim his Infinity Gauntlet leading into its 2018 predecessor. In Infinity War there is one post-credit scene at the very end of the credits. The scene sets up two films following Infinity War. Spoiler warning for the post-credit scene of Avengers Infinity War, as it spoils the film itself.  To recap, we see Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), in an SUV with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The two are driving in a city where Hill reports on alien activity in Wakanda (referring to the third act of the film). The two see a car crash and go to investigate, however, no one is in the car. The two witness people turn to dust and disappear as they see a helicopter crash. Hill starts to turn to dust and disappears. Fury runs to his car, grabs a retro device, as he sends a signal. Not being able to finish his catchphrase (to keep the film PG-13), Fury disa...

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR REVIEW ... SO SPOILERS

Image
It is finally here, the highly anticipated culmination of a decade of Marvel Studio's film, Avengers Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. This will be the spoiler review of the film, as I go and discuss certain scenes in the film, and what specific aspects of the film worked and aspects that maybe did not work entirely; but who am I kidding, there is more good than bad in this film. I did a non-spoiler review of the film, which you can check out if you have not seen the film. But here it is, the spoiler warning for Avengers Infinity War. So to start off, I absolutely love this film. This is the best conceivable movie I could have imagined to be the start of the conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. The film has so much fan service, and it does touch upon nearly every plot thread in the MCU films to date. With the fan service, we saw so many great charcter meetings which were some of my favorite parts of the film. But going through the film, ...

ARROW "SHIFTING ALLEGIANCES" REVIEW

Image
Season 6 Episode 20: A new episode of Arrow, directed by Alexander La Roche, is out, and this episode shows where the allegiances of the team slide after Oliver decides to go solo. There was some interesting stuff in the episode, so spoilers ahead, let's recap. As the new mayor, Quentin gets into his office as he is approached by Laurel who reveals that she is working with Diaz and that he wants some property. Quentin is angry as his daughter's doppelganger, as he learns from her the threat that Diaz is. With Rene out of the hospital, the new recruits team go out to stop a drug operation as they are saved by Diggle and Argus when Rene freezes. Diggle tells the new recruits that he was fired from Team Arrow, and he says that they need to stop Diaz. Quentin tells the new recruits team about the property Diaz is buying so they can stop him, as the team learns that Diaz is also now apart of the quadrant. Rene sits out on the operation, so Black Canary, Mr. Teriffic, Diggle, ...

THE FLASH "FURY ROGUE" REVIEW

Image
Season 4 Episode 19: Hey everyone, we are back with a brand new episode of the Flash, directed by Rachel Talalay, and this episode brings back Wentworth Miller as Citizen Cold, Captain Cold's doppelganger from Earth-X. Along with the cold gunned hero is the Earth-X Black Siren, named "Siren-X", played by Laurel Lance herself, Katie Cassidy. So spoilers ahead for this episode, let's recap. After the increase in dark matter, Harry sees that his intelligence is decreasing. Meanwhile, Barry has a struggle in dealing with Ralph's death, whilst Caitlin tries to see what happened to Killer Frost. In seeing pocket dimensions open, team Flash sees that DeVoe is going to try to get one of the last bus Meta-Humans, Neil Borman, AKA "Fallout". With no Killer Frost to fall on to cool down Fallout, and a janky Captain Cold gun, Barry, and Cisco vibe over to Earth-X, where they recruit Citizen Cold, saving him from Siren-X, who managed to get to Earth-1. At S...

AVENGERS INFINITY WAR NON SPOILER REVIEW

Image
It is time for the ten years worth of hype for this film, or should I say six since Thanos was teased at the end of the first Avengers, anyway, it has been a long time coming for Avengers Infinity War, and I was lucky enough to see it, so let’s take a look at this film, from a non-spoiler side; no plot details, no big moments, nothing like that will be spoiled. That will drop in a couple days when everyone gets to see it. But let’s get on with the review. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Infinity War brings together 30 of not only the Earth’s, however, the Universe’s mightiest heroes in a showdown with the mad titan, Thanos; a being bent on changing the living state of the universe with the Infinity Stones. When you here a brief synopsis like this, it is crazy to see that there are 30 heroes in this film, that is no exaggeration, so it raises the question of how are these characters handled. And to that, the film handles all the characters mostly well. Every character get...

SUPERGIRL "IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME" REVIEW

Image
Season 3 Episode 15: Hey everyone, we are back with a brand new review of Supergirl, directed by Andi Armagnian. This episode continues its streak of being an awesome episode, as this episode centers around M'yrnn and his effects on the people around him. In the episode, we also see the debut of Mon-El's super suit. Spoilers ahead for this episode of Supergirl, let's recap. Suffering from dementia, J'onn's father, M'yrnn, accidentally has a telekinetic crack where he corrupts a Finhead causing the Finhead to have violent tendencies. Kara suits up and takes down the alien. At the DEO, the team figures out what went down, all the while J'onn worries about his dad. While at the DEO, Mon teaches Kara some cape tricks that he learned from the future. When at the DEO, M'yrnn prays in a room, however, he has some more telekinetic cracks, which creates an aggression in Wynn and Demos who fight, and also Alex. J'onn creates a field to stop the corrupti...
