Well, a new DC film has arrived upon us in the form of one of comics oldest heroes, created in 1939, from Fawcett Comics, Captain Marvel , uhh, I mean, Shazam makes his cinematic debut, directed by David F. Sandberg. This is a non-spoiler film, so let's go. The film focuses on foster kid Billy Batson, who moves in with a new family in Philadelphia. Billy finds himself commanded by the wizard Shazam, who grants the pure of heart boy the powers of "SHAZAM". These powers include Solomon's wisdom, Hercules' strength, Atlas' stamina, Zeus' power, Achilles' courage, and Mercury's speed. With his new granted powers, Billy learns how to control them with his superhero fanboy friend Freddy Freeman, as he tries to protect his city, but most importantly, his family. With just under a month till it comes out, there is a new Shazam trailer which has graced the internet with new footage showing off Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and him turning into Shazam (Zachary Levi). We also see more of his shenanigans with his new found powers, and the villain he will have to face in the film, so let's get into the breakdown. After a visit from the subway to the wizard Shazam (Djimon Hounsou), Billy Batson gets his powers, by saying the name Shazam, as we see in this shot. Hey everyone, DC comics had its panel today in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, and we got the first trailer for the 2019 film, "Shazam" directed by David Sandberg. In the trailer, we see the origin of the Shazam character, and how the film looks. I will discuss the origin, the suit, and everything else in the breakdown. Meet Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who is a foster kid who is seen to be running away a lot. In the film, the character is going to around 14 or 15, so old enough to think he can live on his own, but not old enough to wait out the couple years to turn 18. The film will have Billy in this new foster home, where he meets Freedy Freeman (Jack Dylan Drazer). Freeman is going to be the sidekick friend to Billy in the film, and it's not only Billy who is going to get a Shazam form, all the kids living in the foster home will get Shazam powers.
