MARIO ANIMATED FILM ANNOUNCED

The company that is responsible for the creation of three films and one spin-off film about yellow fart joke machines is going to make a Mario movie. That is right, Illumination Entertainment is going to make a Mario film confirmed by Nintendo. To start off with the facts, the film will be co-financed by Nintendo themselves alongside Universal Pictures (who I will get into a bit), the film will be produced by Illumination founder, Chris Meledandri and the legendary creator himself, Shigeru Miyamoto!

So what do I think? this is absolutely awesome. Illumination as a company has found some success in their films, from there great animation style to their beloved characters. But bringing what is arguably the most beloved character in video games to the big screen is sure to be a success. Not only that, with the support of Nintendo and Miyamoto himself, the film has all the guides it needs to have a story which flows. If I had to speculate, the film would most likely have Mario saving Princess Peach from Bowser, which is a story that could be done well on screen.

With Mario getting a film, there could be a tie-in with the Universal Studios Orlando  Nintendo attraction they are creating. I feel as though the film and theme park area will both tie in with each other, the film will most likely more influence the direction of what is in Orlando.

With this Mario film announced, it is most likely we see this film in theaters in four to five years. But this film being announced raises the question of other Nintendo properties such as Zelda and Metroid getting their own films. That is a question for another day. But this is amazing news that a Mario film is announced, with a talented support and great 3D animations, this film could be a hit. I would like to hear your thoughts on this Mario film announcement down below. You can click on the left on the left for the previously rumored Nintendo films, which is what this Mario film is most likely setting up, and click on the right for everything Black Panther. As always thanks for reading, take care.
