BLACK PANTHER POST CREDIT SCENES BREAKDOWN
Hey, everyone, before we get knee deep into spoilers about Black Panther tonight, I want to discuss all the two post credit scenes that were in the credits of Black Panther. Both were important, and tie into the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and where the characters are heading. So spoilers ahead for Black Panther and the post-credit scenes at the end of the film.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
After the graphic titles, we find out first post credit scene. Here we see T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), in front of a United Nations summit, as he tells them that as King of Wakanda he is going to open up top trading with the rest of the world, after being isolated for so long. A man asks "what does Wakanda have to offer", and to that, T'Challa smirks.
To start off, this was weird that this was shown off in the trailers, that is how I got the image above.
But this post credit scene is showing how Wakanda is going to start trading Vibranium with other nations, to improve their livelihoods. This kind of sets up Infinity War in a way. With Wakanda more open to handing out Vibranium, it seems like they will supply members of the Avengers team with Vibranium, such as Captain America and his new shields. Other Avengers such as Black Widow, or Flacon might get new vibranium upgrades as well. But in Infinity War, countries could stand up against Thanos with help of Vibranium to increase their defenses, and I am sure that SHIELD, will try to get their hands on some Vibranium for some Hellicarrier upgrades, or for other projects.
THE "WHITE WOLF" AWAKES
The next post-credit scene is a more direct Infinity War tie-in. We see some Wakandan kids in a tent staring at something, the run out of the tent and starts saying "White Wolf". Shuri (Letitia Wright), turns around as we see Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), get out of the tent and look at the river, Shuri tells Bucky that she needs to full him in.
This was an awesome post credit scene, to say the least. At first, I thought that the kids were staring at a fallen Outrider alien from Thanos or the Soul Stone which crashed on Earth. But nope, it was Bucky. We see that Bucky has not received his vibranium arm replacement we see in the Infinity War trailer, as it seems like he was taken right out of his sleep. In the Infinity War prelude comic it was revealed that Shuri managed to take out the Hydra commands from Bucky's head while retaining his personality, so here Bucky is all normal. The kids called Bucky "White Wolf", which is an easter egg to a comic book character of the same name, who is from Wakanda.
This post credit scene is something we will most likely not see in Infinity War. But I do have a good guess where this fits in. Looking at everything and the dialogue, it seems like Thanos has attacked New York, and Iron Man, Spiderman, and Doctor Strange are in space. While that was going on, Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon protected Vision and Scarlet Witch from the Black Order trying to take the mind stone. The five then go to Wakanda as commanded by Tony Stark, most likely. There T'Challa gathers most of the other heroes, such as the Hulk, Hawkeye, War Machine, and possibly Ant-Man. While everyone makes their way to Wakanda, it seems like Bucky is taken out from his sleep, and this scene happens.
Anyway, that is the breakdown of what is happening in the Black Panther post credit scenes and how they will both most likely factor into Infinity War. I went into the post-credit scenes blind, not knowing what to expect, and that was awesome. I am so glad I didn't read any spoilers because it was great piecing together everything as it unfolded in my mind for the first time. I would love to hear your thoughts and/or opinions of the Black Panther most credit scenes down in the comments below. There is a lot more Black Panther to get into this weekend, so please subscribe for that. You can click on the left for that Infinity War prelude which explains the second post-credit scene and click on the right for the non-spoiler review. As always thanks for reading, take care.
