THE FLASH: BARRY IS A VILLAIN

In the Flash Season, 4 Episode 7 Barry tried to take down the Thinker without any proof of any crimes, however, analyzing the actions of Barry and the Thinker it appears that Barry may be a jerk and the villain compared to the Thinker. So spoilers for the Flash 407, here are the reasons why Barry is a jerk.

To start off, for we know about the Thinker is that he has not done anything bad, but has done the complete opposite and has done relatively good things. Tracking down his actions he first created a plan to get Barry out of the speed force, which first of all, gave Central City its protector back, and allowed for Barry to come back into the real world and marry Iris, which is a plus one for team Flash. Creating all the bus Meta-Humans did have its ups and downs, however, it was the actions of the individual Meta-Humans which cause trouble. But look at the Elongated Man, Ralph Dibny, he said "it's the best thing that ever happened to me" referring to him getting powers from the bus. So looking at the Thinker's actions this season he seems like he is doing not only team Flash a favor, but Central City as a whole a favor.

But what does Barry do in return to the man who basically saved him, oh that's right he harrases him by interrogating him, invading his home, and steals from him. But if we go back to the reason why Barry is doing any of this is that Abra Kadabra and Savitar mentioned him as a villain. Did Barry ever stop to think that when Iris went on to live the timeline was changed. Because if you remember the original timeline had emo Barry when Iris died, and in that timeline, Savitar was born, and I assume Kadabra looked into the future of that timeline, and in that timeline, DeVoe was a villain. So now that Barry changed the timeline (which he knows has major repercussions),  by saving Iris, DeVoe could be a nice guy, which he has proven to be.

The reason why Barry opened up an investigation on DeVoe was that Ralph got a call from DeVoe on the Central City’s mayor’s antics, so Ralph and Barry stopped the corrupt mayor of Central City. Clifford also knows Barry is the Flash, but guess what, he hasn’t given it to any villains, he is keeping the Flash’s identity a secret. So Barry is calling the man who:

  • restored his life
  • brought back the Flash from a hiatus
  • keeps Barry's identity a secret
  • created a new hero, the Elongated Man
  • and caught the corrupt mayor

a villain. Who’s the real villain here?

Barry being a jerk can go on further, look at next week's episode, from viewing the trailers it appears that Barry forgot a few friends on the guest list, like good science pal, Ray Palmer, or what about John Diggle, the man who had a daughter which Barry basically erased. And speaking on the wedding, how got the groom out of the speed force to have a wedding, that's right the Thinker.

So from the Flash 407, it seemed like Barry Allen has done more evil than the Thinker. So please comment below your thoughts on Barry as a character and his actions from the past episode down below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
