SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY TEASER BREAKDOWN

Today is Superbowl Sunday and that means, a whole heap of trailers to break down. Here we have the teaser trailer for the Han Solo film, and this trailer shows off some stuff worth breaking down, as we see how the story might flow. So let's get right into it.

The trailer opens up in what appears to be an Empire job application day, where the Empire recruits people from across the galaxy. This can kind of be seen by the mix of Imperial members, and regular aliens. The line that says "You want to make a difference?" is the type of line used for military recruitment. If I had to guess who is applying to be in the Empire, it is most likely Han Solo himself, with the film being based around him, and we will get into what he does at the end.

We get this super menacing shot of an Imperial Star Destroyer coming flying in some lightning. Coming out is some Tie fighters, and also a duel tie fighter. This could potentially have Han Solo piloting one of these in the film. But this shot is the Empire closing down on some type of planet.

When asked "Which branch are you interested in joining", Han Solo answers "I''m going to be a pilot, best in the galaxy." This is a little on the nose, with all the mentions of Han Solo saying "He's the best pilot". But it appears that in the Empire Han Solo is going to be a pilot, possibly piloting a tie fighter or something like that. Above is a scene of Han Solo presumably piloting some ground vehicle, however, gets the sides scratched a bit. The troopers here are sand troopers that appeared in Rogue One.

Here is a small clip of inside the Millenium Falcon when it was brand new. From leaked toy images, in Solo: A Star Wars Story, we are going to see a brand new version of the Falcon, before it gets all of its famous bumps and bruises. The white almost gives off an imperial look to the ship rather than the worn out white and yellow color we are used to seeing that gives it that more home vibe. It is possible Lando got this ship from the Empire.

A shot of Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) looking up at the Falcon. This almost looks like a shot from the Empire Strikes Back where Han Solo was in front of the Falcon when they go to visit the space worm. The planet that this is on is hard to tell, but it looking at the top left corner, you can see two circular lights, possibly twin suns, so what I am speculating is that this is on Tatooine in the middle of some sort of sandstorm, which explains the gloomy weather. This could be a visit to Jabba the Hutt, where Han Solo gets involved with his antiques.

Emilia Clarke is playing a character called Kira. The character is a potential love interest for Han Solo before Han meets Leia. The setting that Kira is in is unknown, however from the costume she is wearing makes it appear that Kira is a scavenger of a member of the rebellion.

This appears to be something new to the Star Wars universe. A type of monorail on an ice planet. This is most likely the empire, as told from the red lighting and the dark grey coloring of the machine. This is most likely a cargo transport, potentially for prisoners. If it is, what I would guess is that Han Solo is working on this and meets prisoner Chewbacca, and breaks him free and befriends him.

Beckett is the character being played by Woody Harrelson. He is potentially a mentor figure for Han Solo. From the character looking like the scavenger type, it is easy to see how Han looks up to him. From the architecture in the background, it appears that Beckett is at some type of Jedi or mystical temple, potentially on Tatooine as seen from the sand desert.

This is some weird Cantine. We have a new type of looking dancer in wearing all gold. This could be some type of rich cantina, like Canto Bight, but from the room around, it looks almost like Cloud City. This is where Han Solo could meet someone like Lando Calrissian, and this is where they could gamble, and Han wins the Falcon.

Most likely connected to the ice monorail scene, we see Han in almost Hoth uniform, fighting this creature on top of what looks like the monorail. The person Han is fighting has some blue glowing parts on the end of their staff, or weapon. Potentially the use of Kyber crystals could amplify the power of Han's enemy. I have no clue where to think why these two are fighting.

In the flesh, Donald Glover is Lando Calrissian, and this shot is awesome. We see Lando in some type of cave as lighting reflects off his face. This tells us a number of things, Lando is not only going to stay in Cloud City, however, he is going to move on an adventure with Han. This shot looks like Lando is waiting for someone's arrival, most likely Han. It would be cool if we saw Han and Lando greet each other the same way we saw them in Empire strikes back.

The next shot of the Falcon flying through a gloomy sky. This is potentially connected to the Star Destroyer and the lightning shot we saw earlier. Han has to go 12 parsecs to fly past the Star Destroyer, I am guessing if this is the final act, this is how the plot would go.

When asked "your name?" we see Han Solo turn his head and smirk at the camera. Again, this is most likely the Imperial registration. We see that Han is wearing the worn white shirt that we have seen him wear in the past, and he is missing the black vest. Looking at Alden, he looks like he can pass for Han Solo. From the hair to the facial expression, this does seem like a younger Han Solo. The only problem I have with this is that they look like they are making a younger actor look like Han Solo, and not thinking about what Han himself would look like younger.

Here we have Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo)put his hand on Han's shoulder. The desolate background is something, Han may have lost something in the area, and Chewbacca is comforting him. But the relationship between the two, it seems like Han enters the Empire, and saves prisoner Chewbacca and befriends him. That seems like it is going to be the first half of the film and the second half is the two on an adventure.

In conclusion, that is it from the Solo: A Star Wars Story teaser trailer. The full-length trailer is coming out tomorrow which I will definitely break down, so subscribe for that. But this trailer had some awesome shots to break down which looked awesome and was full of some awesome new and old stuff. The music in this trailer was absolutely awesome, and something new from the Star Wars universe, it had the Star Wars feel, but you know that they wanted to add an 80's song to this trailer. I would like to hear your thoughts on this trailer down in the comments below. Click on the left for more Star Wars, and click on the right for everything Black Panther. As always thanks for reading, take care.
