ARROW "ALL FOR NOTHING" REVIEW
Season 6 Episode 12:
Hey, everyone, we are back with a brand new episode of Arrow where we see Star City once again in peril, held hostage by Cayden James, so Oliver needs to team up with the other heroes and some other allies to attempt to stop Cayden from taking down Star City. Spoilers ahead for the episode, let's recap.
After Argus soldiers die from trying to search for Cayden James, Oliver and Thea Queen are giving out their seventh load of ten million dollars to Cayden James, running low on the funds for Star City. Meanwhile, Quentin tries to find Black Siren who has been following him. Dinah Drake is meeting up with Vince and is building up their relationship as we flashback to five years ago in Central City where we see Vince and Dinah meeting for the first time.
Back in present day, Oliver and John track down Vince and are about to capture him before Rene and Curtis stop him. They tell Oliver and John that they are working with Vince, who is undercover in Cayden's group. At the Arrow cave, Felicity invited Alena to find where Cayden's bomb is. OG team Arrow and new team Arrow, and Vince come up with a plan. They send out Cayden to Cayden's base to hack into the server to get answers. At the base, Vince is told by Felicity through his robotic eye what to do. After a confrontation with Cayden, Vince goes outside and sends the information to Felicity, however, he gets captured by Anatoly and Cayden.
We see some more flashbacks to Dinah and Vince together as undercover cops. Back in present day, Felicity and Alena find out that Vince is being tortured by Cayden and his friends. Dinah, Rene, and Curtis go to save Vince while Oliver and John go to secure Cayden's bomb. While fighting through Anatoly and Ricardio's goons, and saving some hostages, Anatoly and Ricardo get away with the bomb. Meanwhile, Black Canary reunites with Vince, however, a bomb goes off trapping Dinah. We then see the particle accelerator go off in the flashback giving Dinah and Vice their powers. In the present day, Vince is confronted by Black Siren and Cayden. Black Siren blows Vince into the wall. Cayden orders Black Siren to kill Vince, so she blows a canary cry into his ear, killing Vince. Cayden and Siren leave before Rene and Curtis show up to help Dinah.
Dinah is at the new base upset that she didn't save Vince and that he died "all for nothing", as the bomb was not found. Thea tells Quentin that Black Siren killed Vince. Back at the Arrow cave, Alena and Felicity find a clip of Oliver shooting Cayden's son with an arrow. Showing Oliver and John, the team realizes that the clip was faked as it is from the same person who made the other fake Oliver is the Green Arrow clip. The episode ends with Oliver visiting Dinah, as he tells her that they have a chance to stop Cayden from going after team Arrow and that Vince did not die "for nothing". Dinah then tells Oliver that she is going to kill every one of them, starting with Black Siren.

Overall, this episode of Arrow was quite entertaining. With the Vigilante character becoming a full-blown hero, it was great seeing him redeem himself as a hero to team Arrow. From the dialogue exchange from the character to team Arrow, and his evolution of the relationship with Black Canary, in present day and in flashbacks, the character of Vince was well served in his final episode. Going forward in the season, we are ping to get to see the darkest Black Canary we have ever seen. We know that Dinah is prone to killing, and now with her powers, I think she will start killing all the criminals she can get her hand on. But Vince's death is a huge set up for a Canary vs Canary fight, which was teased earlier this season.
Cayden James this season is not the main villain, as he will stop being a villain after he learns the truth. There are a number of people in the possy that could be the villain. We could have Anatoly as the main villain, but he seems like he could turn around, but we could have Richard Dragon as the villain, or Black Siren could become the main villain, but she is most likely going to be turned around by Quentin and Thea.
The cast of the episode was great. Starring in the episode we had Juliana Harkavy (Dinah/ Black Canary), Johann Urb (Vince/ Vigilante), Stephen Amell (Oliver/ Green Arrow), Emilly Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), David Ramsey (John/ Spartan), Kacey Rohl (Alena), Echo Kellum (Curtis/ Mr. Teriffic), Rick Gonzalez (Rene/ Wild Dog),Willa Holland, (Thea Queen), Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance), Katie Cassidy (Black Siren), David Nykl (Anatoly), Kirk Acevedo (Ricardio Diaz), and Michael Emmerson (Cayden James).
In conclusion, this episode of Arrow was an entertaining episode. It was nice seeing an episode focuses on Dinah and Vince and explore how their relationship started and ended. The theme "All for nothing" played a lot into this episode which was nice to see, and how everyone had to realize that Vince did not die for nothing. I will give this episode of Arrow an 8.5 out of 10. I would like to hear your thoughts on the episode down in the comments below.
