AVENGERS ENDGAME TRAILER BREAKDOWN

Hey everyone, with no warning, Marvel has dropped the new trailer for Avengers Endgame today, as we get a closer look at the team back together, more action from the first half of the film, and the solution to stop Thanos once and for all. Slight spoilers ahead for Captain Marvel in this, so you have been warned.

In the opening scene of the trailer, we see previous shots from Iron Man I of Tony's origin in becoming Iron Man. "It's felt like a thousand and years since I got out of that cave." I am assuming that Tony is still adrift in space in the Benetar with Nebula, and is making a recording to Peper through the Mark L helmet.

Tony says that he has one last "surprise". Since this message is to Pepper I am guessing that Tony is referring to the Rescue armor that he has made for her getting activated being the surprise, which is rumored to appear in Endgame thanks to toy leaks.
In the comics, the Rescue armored is piloted by Peper and is used primarily for rescuing people, and has some combat capabilities.

However, I don't think that the Rescue armor will have the capabilities to fly into space, and therefore will most likely not save Tony and Nebula, instead, they will most likely save themselves from this dire situation. In the film, the Rescue armor might just end up helping surviving members of the snap.

Next up we see glimpses of Captain America's origin as we see scrawny Steve in Captain America: The First Avenger. We hear Peggy's voice over from the Winter Soldier telling Steve that the world has changed. This is an important memo as Steve in Endgame may be one of the first people to try to help everyone else moving on, not wanting to face his failure as a hero of the 3.5 billion deaths on Earth alone being on him. The support groups that Steve is attending in this scene shows that he is helping those living in the changed world, and helping them move on, as he moved on from his early 20th-century lifestyle.

Here is a quick scene of Clint Barton teaching his daughter how to use a bow and arrow- someone who could take over the mantle of Hawkeye in the future. In this scene it seems like we will see the inevitable Thanos snap happen and Clint will watch his daughter fade away before his eyes before he learns that the rest of his family were victims of the snap as he turns around to see them dissipating in the air nowhere to be seen from the picnic it appears they were having.

Thor is suffering from the guilt of "seeing all these people die." Thor will take a swing back from his revenge quest from Thanos, and turn it into more of an avenging quest, and thinking about going for the head. In the trailer, we don't see him, but I assume that he will meet up with the surviving Asgardians such as Valkyrie and Korg on Earth to set up a new home.

"Some people move on, but not us." This line seems like it will be one of the most important lines in the film, the drive for the Avengers to correct their mistakes. In this scene, we see a clean-shaven Steve Rogers, long red-hair Natasha Romanoff, and Bruce Banner in the Avengers compound. This means that there has been a decent amount of time which has passed since the snap, and Captain Marvel came back to Earth from her post credit scene.

I am guessing that the reason that the Avengers aren't moving on quite yet is that some new individuals have joined the team and offered some new hope to defeat Thanos and reverse the snap. That being Scott Lang, the Quantum Realm technology he has, or possibly Nebula knowing where Thanos went after the snap to repeat their mistakes again.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) appears to have made his way out of the Quantum Realm. I am guessing that this is happening potentially later in the timeline, say a couple years after the snap occurs, which will be a couple minutes for Lang. In this shot, Scott has no idea of what happened or seeing anyone turned to dust. For all he knows, the Pym family just ditched him.
This shot shows Scott looking at the influx of missing posters, which is a really depressing and sad detail to add in, but yet fuels the concept the of loss so much.

The scene following this shot, Scott will most likely meet an older snap-orphaned version of his daughter, Cassie who thought she lost her father, but it turns out he was just small. From here it seems Scott will take the Quantum van and an array of Pym technologies to the Avengers facility like we saw at the end of the first trailer in hopes of reversing the snap.

The Avenjet is heading towards a city in Japan at night time. This is highly likely Natasha taking the jet to track down Clint at the beginning of the film, who will be the vigilante, Ronin, fighting criminals in the post snapped Japan after his family fades away. Clint is to ditch the Ronin persona and get his archery gear back later in the trailer. What I am guessing is that once Tony and Nebula will come back to Earth, and some of the Avengers with the help of Nebula will confront Thanos again at the beginning of the film. It seems like Natasha has found Clint and is bringing him back to the team, with the hopes of getting revenge.

Here is a misleading shot. The way that the trailer is cut, it appears that Natasha and Clint are on the Quinjet. However, looking at the ship, it is actually the Guardians of the Galaxy ship, the Benetar. This is shown from the curvature of the cockpit, as well as that ladder in the background.

In this scene, the team is most likely going to go into space, which is why they are taking the Benetar. My guess is that they are going to have one first initial fight with Thanos, and it ends miserably for the team, with them barely escaping the mad titan with their lives. There was a clip for Disney shareholders from Endgame which showed Nebula, Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain Marvel getting on the Benetar.

Rocket is on the shoulder of War Machine, in what I am guessing, is going to be the Avengers first fight against Thanos. In this shot, we see that Rocket has the light blue and red suit that he wore in the comics. The red and blue color scheme was a matching scheme that the rest of the Guardians had in the comics a couple years ago.

This shot shows Rhode in his new armor, the Mark V. The armor is much bulkier, and tank like than any of his previous suits. It is rumored that there will be a large add on for the suit, which is similar to something we have seen before in the films.

In the middle of a small forest, Steve is looking a little concerned. It appears that Steve may have taken a walk to look for something which may help the team, maybe a component needed for the Quantum Realm, and it is in a remote bunker. Or Steve could be getting closure on someone who wanted to know survived the snap or not, such as Sharon Carter. This shot doesn't give or have a whole lot of context.

Scott has managed to get his way at the front gate and is in the Avengers facility all suited up. The suit he is wearing in Endgame appears to be the same from Ant-Man and the Wasp, considering that no one from the Pym family would be around to upgrade his suit, and also he is coming right out of the Quantum Realm from the Ant-Man and the Wasp post credit scene.

Ant-Man is coming to the Avengers facility with one of the most important things in the film, the Quantum van, which will give the Avengers access to the Quantum Realm as we see them suited up for at the end of the trailer.

The Quantum Realm is a subatomic realm which is smaller than the fabric of space-time. This means that thereby going into the Quantum Realm there is the possibility to fall into a different universe, and there are also time vortexes which will if you fall into it, will place you in a different period in time. With the time vortexes being called out by Janet previously, I am leaning more towards the use of time travel being used in Endgame rather than going to different Earths.

Thor flies up into the air with Stormbreaker in hand, and lightning surrounding him. Although this shot does look awesome, I am guessing that Thor is not in any battle here, and instead, he is thinking about all of his choices and probably imagining how Stormbreaker could go through Thanos' head. Thor seems like he might be on his way to visit new Asgard as I mentioned earlier in the breakdown.

I am assuming that Nebula will lead some of the Avengers in an initial battle with Thanos on Titan II at the beginning of the film once she comes back to Earth with Tony. It appears that this is a shot, Nebula is trying her hardest again to kill Thanos who seems to have created a desolate field already with a lot of smoke and debris. In the film, I am guessing that Nebula will be reluctant to join the Avengers, however, will just put up with them with her personal and much longer vendetta against Thanos.

Clint Barton has moved on from his emo phase of being the vigilante Ronin to being the Avenger, Hawkeye, complete with all 52 of his arrows. In this scene, it is kind of clear that Clint is on a mission to try and search for something. Maybe a component needed for the Quantum Realm. In the trailer, we see this monorail type thing which Clint is on explode. It appears that whatever mission this is, there is some danger involved, and a villain is definitely nearby, someone other than Thanos.

This shot appears to be connected with the previous shot that Nebula was in with her batons. It appears that Captain America is in a battle with Thanos on Titan II, in the first act of the film. Steve has his old trusty shield back in hand, and the new scale armor suit on. It seems like that the Avengers are going to lose in this battle once again, and they will have to resort to a method which isn't a confrontation with Thanos and the six stones.

If Captain America is fighting Thanos in this scene I am guessing that he will say that famous line from the Infinity Gauntlet comic to Thanos "As long as one man stands against you Thanos, you'll never be able to claim victory!"

With a battle going on, Ant-man jumps over a pencil and flies into action. If I had to guess, it seems like this is going to take place in the Avengers facility. Because what other places would be under attack in the film but most importantly have pencils for someone like Captain America to use. There are a couple of things which could be happening ion this scene which causes this destruction.
a) Thanos is attacking the Avengers just for good measure
b) Some of the Avengers are mind controlled from Thanos and are destroying the facility after coming back from a battle with Thanos
c) The Hulk has come back and in doing so, caused some minor havoc for Scott to dive away from.

In their full glory, the Avengers are all in their matching Quantum Realm suits. These suits have been teased for a while in multiple toy leaks and merchandise leaks, and they peaked my interest. It appears that the suits will be used by the Avengers to help them safely navigate the Quantum Realm, thus the name "Quantum suits". The suits carry the red and white design that Hank Pym's Quantum Realm suit had from Ant-Man and the Wasp.

By this point in the film, Tony and Nebula have arrived back on Earth and are joining the rest of the team, which we see here. By this point in the film, it seems like Tony and Steve would have made up and sorted aside their differences from Civil War, and Tony may have given Steve the shield back. Rocket also would have learned what that the rest of the Guardians were victims of the snap from Nebula and Tony.

In this scene, we see James, Clint, Scott, Nebula, Natasha, Tony, and Steve in the suits. The suits appear to wrap around whatever armor or suit they are wearing as seems with James' tankier build from the War Machine suit underneath. I have a theory that these suits could change form and appear as any type of suit or clothing. For example, Captain America's suit could transform into the suit from the first Avengers film if he wanted it to. This would help if the Avengers needed to go back in time, and go undercover to not disrupt the timeline.

Absent from this scene is Thor, Rocket, the Hulk, and Captain Marvel. Rocket and Thor may be on their own separate quest during this scene in the film, however, from concept art, there are Quantum Realm suits designed for them. There is also a suit design for the Hulk. However, that would be considered a spoiler. Captain Marvel isn't in here, and I am guessing that they do not want to spoil the idea that her suit may have the capabilities to go into the Quantum Realm, which is how I interpreted Samuel L. Jackson's 'she can time travel' comment.

The trailer ends with Thor confronting Captain Marvel by summoning Stormbreaker, as she smiles at him as he says "I like this one." This scene is a continuation from the Captain Marvel post-credit scene, which takes place closer towards the end of Infinity War, as seen by Steve and Natasha looking similar to their undercover looks from Infinity War than their new looks in Endgame.

With Captain Marvel on Earth, it seems like, from the Disney shareholders clip, she will go along with Nebula (when she comes back to Earth with Tony) and a couple of the other Avengers where we will see her face off against Thanos for the first time. With the way that she got her powers, Carol will more or less hold her ground, but it seems like she will underestimate the power of the rest of the stones, and get her ass handed to her by Thanos.

In conclusion, this new AVwengers Endgame trailer does get me hyped for the film, with all that is hidden in it, in terms of the plot elements, and the fight scenes that we see small glimpses of. I am glad that this trailer didn't show too much and only kept itself to cool looking shots from the first twenty or so minutes of the film.
