CAPTAIN MARVEL IN THE MCU

This year at Comic Con, during the Marvel panel, there were concept images for the 2019 film, Captain Marvel shown off, and some details of the film revealed, from over the Comic Con weekend. The most notable was the reveal that the film would be set in the 90's.

A new time period Marvel has not yet explored, and a sensitive one for them, but they can now laugh it off. But Captain Marvel in the 90's, seems interesting. As it would seem, Carol Danvers gets her powers in the 90's and becomes the hero, Captain Marvel, possibly having an off planet adventure to avoid anyone questioning why she wasn't in the Avengers. By I am guessing her powers will contain anti-aging, so Brie Larson can look the same 20 years later.  As we know Samuel L. Jackson will be reprising his role as Nick Fury in the film so he will be in the early days of being an agent of SHIELD, or possibly SWORD, we really don't know. Confirmed to be the villains of the film are Skrulls, which will be interesting to see how they tie in with Captain Marvel, possibly the Skrulls gave her the powers.

So by the time we get to Avengers Infinity War, Captain Marvel will be experienced with her powers, and hopefully, have a suit. Unlike what I suspected she would be like, a pilot recruited by the Avengers who gets her powers in a fight with Thanos and becomes Captain Marvel.

But wait, of course when everything seems to line up, there is something that is thrown in the mix. In an interview with Comic Book.com, one of the directors of Infinity War said about Captain Marvel "She's not in Avengers 3."
So this is very interesting and not what we expected, she could appear in Avengers 4, I say she definitely will. This quote could be a little cryptic like Captain Marvel is not in Infinity War, but Carol Danvers is.

How crazy would it be if Carol Danvers was in Infinity War as a regular pilot, and she was sent back in time to the 90's by Thanos with the Time Stone, and the other stones gave her abilities. That would be insane, and too confusing. I would really like to see Captain Marvel in Infinity War before her own film so we can get a sort of sneak peek, like Black Panther and Spiderman in Civil War, even though the solo film is a year after Infinity War.
