VENOM + SILVER & BLACK CONFIRMED FOR MCU
I was so happy when I heard this. On press tours for Spiderman Homecoming, Filmstarts asked Amy Pascal confirmed that the Spiderman spin-off films, Silver & Black and Venom, are confirmed in the MCU, which Kevin Feige confirmed with her. I was so relieved when this was announced. Previously I was worried that there would be way too many universes to keep up with and that it would all get too messy. But it is great that the films are tied under a single continuity. You can check the full interview below.
In the interview, they slightly confirmed that Spiderman would appear, that was a given since he basically is the main title these charters branched off from. And it is great that Tom Holland will be Spiderman in those films, which they are probably still working out the contract for. But Venom and Silver & Black will be dislocated from the rest of the problems in the MCU, which is a given, so there does not have to be a load of references. It will be like the tv shows, Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix shows, they can reference the MCU, but the movies don't have the reference the self-tied tv stories. But like Agents of SHIELD, that won't stop cameos, such as Spiderman mentioned earlier.

In the interview, Amy Pascal said something along the lines of "you have to read every chapter", which that I kind of disagree on, I see Kevin Feige may have worded it differently, saying something like "upon viewing the other chapters in richens the journey and development of the chart to see them in a next film." Just so no one feels put off as they have to watch every Marvel film before to view one. Which you don't have to, it opens up the character development.
An R-rated film in the MCU, Venom. That is going to be cool, but everyone is questioning for this, for some reason. The film is not being made by Marvel Studios/Disney, it is being made by Sony, who can do this, it's just that the continuities are the same. But Tom Hardy will be awesome in the MCU, the whole universe is really coming together now, the Spiderverse that is.
I am now really excited to see these films, Venom and Silver & Black now that they are a part of the wider universe. I would like to hear your thoughts on the news down in the comments below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
