LIVE ACTION LION KING CONFIRMED
Lion King art by Edgar Gomez
So we have all suspected this, and now Disney has officially confirmed it, we are getting a live action Lion King remake! The film doesn't have a release date, however, is set to be directed by Jon Favreau. After his success on the Lion King, the film is in safe hands except, the entire film is not going to have a human lead like the Jungle book, so everything is going to be all CG.
The picture above shows some concept of what the characters could look like, there would have to be a cartoony expression on the lions faces to be more appealing to the audience and also express emotion, on a real lion, we may not get the same expression from Simba when his father is killed.
The release date of this film has not been announced, but before then there is a live-action Beauty and the Beast coming out next year, and Jon Favreau has also been set to direct a live-action Jungle book sequel.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this news, are you excited, or do you want the Lion King to be left alone, let me know b y dropping a comment below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
