STAR WARS EPISODE IX FINISHED FILMING

JJ Abrams has posted an image on his twitter revealing that he has finally finished filming Star Wars episode nine. In this image, we see the main cast members of the trilogy, Daisy Riddley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Issac (Poe Dameron) hugging on set and in costume.

So I wanted to go through what we will see in Star Wars episode nine, and when we can expect the first trailer to release for the film.

So with Abrams returning as director and this being the conclusion to the Skywalker saga, the film is going to have to pay off and conclude a lot. I am assuming Abrams is going to pay off the mystery box he created in the Force Awakens and may divert some directions the trilogy was going in after the Last Jedi, with his revealing motivations for Snoke, and the lives of Rey's parents. The film will also have to wrap up the First Order, the fate of the galaxy, and also what is Ben Solo and Rey's legacy and how that will carry the Skywalker name.

In the film, the late Carrie Fisher will be incorporated with her iconic role of Princess Leia using cut footage. The film will also have a small cameo from Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. I am also guessing that Mark Hamill will return as Luke Skywalker as a force ghost in the film. There may be other characters from the original trilogy returning so I will be excited for any familiar faces which do appear in the film.

The trailer for episode IX I assume will be released at Star Wars Celebration 2019, which is on April 11-15. So in between those days, most likely the 13th, which is a Saturday, will the trailer release. When that does happen, I will definitely do a breakdown of that.

Anyway, there's not a whole lot to go on about episode IX. The marketing of this film will be interesting because I guess they will have to market it a significant amount because there wasn't a large cliffhanger of sorts after The Last Jedi, and there are several mixed opinions about that film, so they need to market in a way to get people interested that Abrams is back, while not yet overhyping the film.

In conclusion, that does it for this breakdown of what we know about Star Wars Episode IX, aside from the story. Are you excited for Episode IX? Let me know by dropping a comment down below.
