PUNISHER AND JESSICA JONES CANCELLED

With more than half of the Marvel Netflix shows erased from existence, it has been announced that the remaining to shows, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones have ended, as stated in a statement from Netflix.

We all saw that these two shows were going to end at one point or another ever since we saw this collapse of these shows coming. Be sure to remember that Jessica Jones still has season three to air on Netflix later this year.

I did wish that they would hold off on announcing that Jessica Jones would be canceled until a couple weeks after the last season aired, like the others, but I guess now is a better time than any because I think we all didn't doubt for a second that this last season was going to be the last.

But there have been plenty of reasons why these shows may have been canceled, from creative differences to competitions between companies, and other circumstances, all of which have been speculated to death everywhere on the internet.

There are suggestions that the streaming platform Hulu is open to reviving canceled Marvel Netflix shows. This is partly because of the deal of the Disney-Fox deal, Disney will own a majority of the platform, and since Disney doesn't want R-rated content on their Disney Plus platform, Hulu would make a great platform for the revival of these shows, or even just one Defenders series.

If we do see that, we may not see that happen until a couple years in the future, because the shows are going to be Netflix for at least a couple years.

There is the low chance that the characters do go the films for small appearances, however, limited at that, because there might be a few issues tonally, in translating these characters onto the big screen. I don't believe that these characters will be recast for films. The reason because it seems like Marvel Television adapts the characters that Marvel Studios have swept to the side, stitching them into the MCU themselves.

So I guess the Defenders series were fun while they lasted, bringing us exciting stories, and great character adaptations to root for. These characters were great, and I hope we see them again. I loved most of these shows, and everyone who worked on them did a fantastic job. I will do a review on Jessica Jones season three when that comes out, and that may wrap up what I post about these characters for a little while.
