MARVEL COMICS: A FRESH START

A new year a new Marvel Comics reboot. This time we have the eighth Marvel Comics reboot in five years, and this time we have "A Fesh Start" to title this new wave of issue 1's.  This time there are new writers starting off new issues of the same beloved characters. This is after some writers left Marvel comics for different reasons, but it is great to see Marvel come back with a slate of characters which are iconic and hopefully we can pick up on series and not be lost. Because that happens a lot, you pick an issue, but then you realize, "Oh, I had to read the last couple years of comics to understand this". A clear example of this was with Spiderman, where if you haven't read for a while, you would be lost in the story and what's going on. But this image of characters below is who seems like is getting new issues. So let's go through it.

From the looks of it, the line up features a diverse range of characters. We have some Fox-owned film characters in the bunch here such as Wolverine, Deadpool, Gambit, and the Thing. However, it is kept to a minimum with no other main X-Men characters and the absence of the rest of the Fantastic Four. There are the Defenders characters in the mix there with Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, as the two are wearing costumes which look inspired off their television counterparts. And look, Iron Fist is missing. One complaint I do have is, what is up with Doctor Strange's costume. For new issues, you think that something more iconic would be made. But the list above won't be the complete list of characters. We will obviously have characters like Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Falcon, Vision, Cloak, Dagger, and nearly every other Marvel comics character that has been in the films or television series.

But this seems like a good direction Marvel is heading in, with creating a fresh start for their comics is a good thing to do to introduce new readers to the world of Marvel comics, especially in an Avengers film year. ADVENTURE TIME "JAKE THE STARCHILD" REVIEW

Season 10 Episode 10: Round two, with a new episode of Adventure Time, this time following the cliffhanger from last week where Jake gets teleported away by a mysterious being. CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS PART II REVIEW ... SPOILERS

Part Two: Hey everyone, we are back with the second part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, this time on the Batwoman series. In this episode we see the Monitor’s plan fall into play, as a few new concepts are introduced. So spoilers ahead for the episode, lets recap. Recap The Monitor introduces the concept of paragons to the team, who are seven individuals from across the multiverse who will be vital to stop the Anti-Monitor. Iris, Lois, and Clark are sent out to find the paragon of truth, who is a Kryptonian who has suffered a great loss. SUPERGIRL DISTANT SUN REVIEW

Season 2 Episode 17: In this episode of Supergirl, we had a lot going on, Lynda Carter came back as the president, and there was a bunch of stuff going on with Mon's parents, so spoilers ahead for the episode, let's recap the episode. In the episode, Kara has to go face an alien with some laser eyes, she takes him down and takes him to the DEO where they find out that there has been a bounty placed on Supergirl.John tells Kara to not go out as Supergirl.Mon goes to a bar to meet with his parents and he asks them if they placed the bounty on Kara, they deny and part ways. Back at Kara's apartment, the original team is playing a board game, Mon comes over and he gets mind controlled by an alien outside, named Hanibal.He gets mind controlled into having a fight with Kara, and Kara and Jimmy take down Mon while Winn manages to take down the mind controlling alien. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW 'FREAKSHOW' REVIEW

Season 3 Episode 2: The new episode of Legends of Tomorrow came out yesterday and there was a lot of surf to unpack from the episode. So spoilers ahead for the episode, let's recap. The episode opens with a flashback to six months ago. Nate is living with Amaya, who sees her granddaughter being a vigilante on the news, and how she is saving people. Amaya the leaves without telling Nate. Back in present-day Ray finishes building his latest invention, a shrink ray. The Legends take a look at the anachronisms that still exist, and they decide to take on a level one mission, in a circus in Wisconsin, 1870. Looking around the circuit, Mick immediately leaves from his fear of clowns. Ray, Jax, and Nate find the anachronism, a Saber Tooth Tiger. RIVERDALE "THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN" REVIEW

Chapter 17: Hey, everyone, we are back with a brand new review of Riverdale season two episode 4. So spoilers ahead for the episode if you haven't seen it let's recap. The episode opens up with Jughead who is at the library and gets some books to try to research the Black Hood. Meanwhile, Jughead is out practicing with his new gun that he acquired from Dilton Doily.
