ARROW "WE FALL" REVIEW

Season 6 Episode 11:

Hey, everyone, we are back with a brand new review of Arrow where we see Star City go to hell, no thanks to Cayden James. I also have a theory on who Cayden's son is which I will get into later on. Spoilers ahead of the episode, let's recap.

With Star City under siege by a series of technological terror attacks, Oliver has to suit up as both the mayor and the Green Arrow to stop Cayden. As the mayor, Oliver organizes a safe camp with analog technology to keep the people safe. Later on, Oliver is approached by Cayden and he tells Oliver that a year ago today, Oliver killed his son, and now Cayden wants Oliver to pay ten million dollars a day to Cayden James, or else he will continue the attacks.

Meanwhile, Curtis, Rene, and Dinah find that the T-sphere is activating and is locating the Vigilante's mask. The three heroes follow the T-sphere. Dinah and Rene split up from Curtis who finds Vince. Vince tells Curtis that he got the T-sphere to track him as he tells Curtis that he is working undercover in Cayden's team. Vince tells Curtis that Cayden is planning an attack in the subway, and the heroes can stop it. Curtis tells Dinah and Rene to go to the subway where they see that two trains are going to collide on the track. Rene and Curtis try to change the track lever, however, Dinah steps in and uses her sonic scream to bring one of the trains to a halt.

Back in their new base, Curtis tells Dinah and Rene that he got information from Vince. Dinah is especially mad at Curtis because she knows Vince is now not trusting, but Curtis tells her that he is working undercover. The three then go over pros and cons of using information from Vince. Meanwhile, Felicity discovers that Cayden's attacks are all on the borders of Star City, and there is only one tunnel which has not been attacked. In that tunnel is William in a bus, and then a series of explosions go off. Green Arrow and Spartan are in action evacuating people from the tunnel. Oliver rushes over to William and saves him.

Back in the Arrow cave, William is mad that Oliver is back being the Green Arrow again. Meanwhile, Curtis and Dinah get a coded message from Vince warning them that Cayden James is going to attack one of the Star City safe camps. Dinah, Curtis, and Rene team up and they meet Oliver and John at the site. The heroes team up to take down Cayden's forces as Felicity talks to William in the Arrow cave telling him that he needs to trust his father to be the Green Arrow and that he will get home safely. In the fight, Rene is about to get shot, but Vince saves him. taking down the criminals, the two teams part ways.

Later on, we see Dinah meet with Vince. Meanwhile, William tells Oliver that he is okay with him being the Green Arrow. The episode ends with Oliver going to the mayor's office where he a Thea transfer ten million, dollars to Cayden James.

Overall, this episode of Arrow was an entertaining episode. I enjoyed where the story was going and how the character development flowed. In the episode, we had to see Oliver save the city as both the mayor and as the Green Arrow, and I also did like the resolution that was given to William's arc of his father being the Green Arrow. The side plot of the episode with the new team, Black Canary, Mr. Teriffic and Wilddog, was a very entertaining story. I enjoy those characters together and they were in some great scenes. I have to say, that the Black Canary sonic scream to stop the train, that was one hell of a bad ass scene.

In the episode, Cayden James said that Oliver killed his son around a year ago. In season five, episode 11, Oliver and the team were out of Star City recruiting Dinah. Cayden's son could be a member of the gang that team Arrow fought at the end of the episode. However, I think Cayden's son is someone we have met before. I believe that Cayden's son is Billy, the police officer that Felicity dated for a little while, however, was killed by the Green Arrow as he was dressed as Prometheus. Billy died in episode nine of season five, so the timing is a little out of place, however, it is in the same rough time frame of a year. Oliver did murder Billy, and it would make sense as to why Cayden would go seek revenge against Oliver, as Oliver murdered his son and he was innocent.

The cast of the episode was overall great in the episode. Starring in the episode was Stephen Amell (Oliver/ Green Arrow), Emilly Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), David Ramsey (John/ Spartan), Willa Holland, (Thea Queen), Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance), Juliana Harkavy (Dinah/ Black Canary), Johann Urb (Vince/ Vigilante),  Echo Kellum (Curtis/ Mr. Teriffic), Rick Gonzalez (Rene/ Wild Dog), and Michael Emmerson (Cayden James).

In conclusion, this episode of Arrow was an episode that had an entertaining plot and bought a threat that felt like it was threatening to the heroes. With the story of the two teams, there was some entertainment value in seeing the heroes in both the teams interact with the heroes in the other team. I will give this episode of Arrow an 8.5 out of 10. I would like to hear your thoughts on Arrow down in the comments below.
