AGENTS OF SHIELD "A LIFE EARNED" REVIEW
Season 5 Episode 4:
It is time for a brand new episode of Agents of SHIELD where we see the future space story evolve with more inhuman trafficking and some development on some more characters. Spoilers ahead for the episode, let's recap.
In the episode, we follow three stories. The first focuses on Mack, who is told by Grill that he has to make a man, Gunner, pay Grill back. So Mack and Yoyo set out on their journey. Meanwhile, Coulson and May try to find Daisy but have no luck. They find Deke who helps them in their quest to save Daisy. While on their journey, Coulson and May find out that there is a baby who is being delivered to Gunner. Mack threatens to take away Gunner's package, but then Mack realizes that the package is a baby. Gunner calls Mack a bad person who "shouldn't have a child". Coulson and May get attacked by some Kree, and they take them down. The two agents realize that Deke sold out Daisy. Coulson takes Deke's payment and gives it to Mack to give to Gunner so he can pay off Grill.
Meanwhile, Daisy is captured by Kasius who uses Ben, a mind-reading Inhuman to get the truth out of Daisy and Simmons about their time travel story. Working with Daisy and Simmons, Ben uses his powers to relay's Daisy's story to Simmon's story, and it is successful gaining the trust of Kalius. Kalius then gather's his guest to bid for Daisy. A masked man says that he will take Dasiy as he pulls off his mask and reveals that he is Fitz.
Overall, the episode was an awesome episode which showed us more of the way that this new Kree led future is going. The Mack storyline was a spectacular story which developed the character. I loved the idea that Mack still can not get over the passing of his fake daughter, and he is in a complex where he can not get over the passing of his fake daughter, but he got over the death of his real daughter.
The ending of the episode was a great cliffhanger. It leaves so many questions about where has Fitz been.
The cast of the episode was amazing as always, we had Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Henry Simmons (Mack Mackenzie), James Harvey Ward (Gunner), Chloe Bennet (Daisy Johnson), Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons), Myko Oliver (Ben), Dominic Rains (Kasius), Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Yoyo Rodriguez), Jeff Ward (Deke), and Iain De Caestecker (Leo Fitz).
In conclusion, this episode of Agents of SHIELD is great in the way it develops the strange new lifestyle the protagonists are in with Inhuman trafficking. I am very curious as to how this season plays out as a whole. I will give this episode an 8 out of 10. Please comment on your thoughts on the episode. As always thanks for reading, take care.
