WONDER WOMAN 2 RELEASE DATE

At Comic Con it was announced by Warner Bros that the sequel to this year's Wonder Woman will be December 13, 2019! So I want to discuss what Wonder Woman 2 may be about, and what the date means.

Many people have speculated that Wonder Woman 2 would be set in the Cold War, where Diana (Gal Gadot) can team up with her same allies from the first film if she wanted to or get an all new crew, that is up in the air. It would be the 70's setting where the film would have a spy tone, where Diana can go full stealth with the Invisible Jet. Speaking of the 70's, the film would plug in as many easter eggs to the Lynda Carter tv show from 77, which would be awesome. The villain of the film could be Cheetah, it could be Ares again as it is a war, but my personal pick would be Circe.

The film could be set in present day if wanted to, but another period piece film would be so awesome because you could do so many deep cuts that would only work in the 70's.

Stepping away from the content of the film, and to the date. Dember 2019. Well with no Star Wars film set to come out then, Wonder Woman can take that place. It is now a beloved property which is definitely going to be capitalized on for Christmas. So nice work Warner Bros., no Star Wars, near Christmas, perfect date. The only possible competition it will have will be 5 days later when Master of the Universe comes out.

Anyway, Wonder Woman 2, I am super excited, I am sure Patty Jenkins will sign on to direct the film, and of course, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the film.
