THE GOONIES REVIEW ... SO SPOILERS

So 32 years ago the Goonies came, so let's why not review it., and even though this is quite an old film I should stool say spoilers ahead.

After discovering that they might lose their house, two brothers and their friends discover a treasure map. Thus leading them to go on a treasure hunt to find the pirate treasure, however, they are challenged by a gang heading for the same treasure and are faced with challenges along the way.

Something I want to say straight is that if this film came out today, no way it would be rated PG, with the jokes in the film it would get a PG-13, even then.

But that aside, what makes the Goonies such a unique film is the way that the story builds out, I like the quest the kids go on at the begging and the challenges they are faced by, like the piano. I enjoyed the mystery with Sloth, the first time I watched the Goonies I was curious as to who or what Sloth was, and it was neat seeing the character progress from the start to the end of the film with the decisions he makes.

My favorite scene in the film would be Sloth saves the day. It's a bird, It's a plan, nope, it's Sloth. It was an awesome scene in the film with the music, and Sloth confronting his mother was interesting, it didn't flesh out that whole relationship as this is still a kids film.

The cast in this film is what makes the film, John Matuszak was great as Sloth, such an iconic charter. The rest of the cast was great, Sean Astin(Mikey), Josh Brolin (Brand), Jeff Cohen (Chunk), Jonathan Ke Quan (Data), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Kerri Green Andy), and Martha Plimpton (Stef).

The family gang in the film was great, Anne Ramsey (Mama Fratelli), Robert Davi (Jake), and Joe Pantoliano (Francis). They were a humorous family, which made for some great, classic, cheesy villains. I was curious as to where the cast on the Goonies was, but ABC has done so a couple years ago.

Overall, the Goonies is an iconic film due to the characters, and the adventure story it tells. Richard Donner did a great job with the film, along with everything else. I personally enjoy this and I will give it an 8 out of 10. Comment below your thoughts on the film, down below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
