Ahh wait... what? I mean "IN THEATERS 10 DAYS EARLIER
BECAUSE WHEN YOU CALL A MOVIE INDEPENDENCE DAY AND REFERENCE THE DAY IN THE TRAILER, AND SUPPOSEDLY THE MOVIE TKES PLACE ON THE JULY 4TH IT IS FOR SOME REASON NOT RELEASED ON THE 4TH OF JULY"
Well, this was unexpected. We now have a brand new trailer for Avengers Endgame, and its main purpose was to announce that tickets are now on sale. But tickets aside, we have a bunch of polished and brand new footage from Endgame, which shows off some more story beats, so potential spoilers ahead for the film. If you do not want some parts of the film spoiled, please click off this. The trailer opens up in the Avengers compound with Bruce Banner saying "If we do this, we would be going in shorthanded." W ith James Rhode saying, "Yeah, because he killed all our friends." This scene is obviously in reference to the team planning an assault on Thanos. It seems like the team would be discussing this once Tony and Nebula get to the compound, and they know where Thanos is- on Titan II. An image was released by Geoff Johns on Twitter revealing a banner for Wonder Woman 2, as seen above. The image has "WW84" with the letters obviously standing for Gal Gadot herself, as Wonder Woman, and the 84 teasing the year that the film is going to take place, 1984. The film was rumored to take place in the 1980's, but this confirms the time period of the film, which teases what might happen in the film, so let's go through that. The first film focuses in World War I, having the films set in World Word II, seems like it would be another version of the first film, just being more horrific, so it makes sense that the sequel is not set in the 40's. In 1984, or the 1980's in general, there was one major global threat, and that was the Cold War, well that extended through 40 years, with the US, and USSR had their differences in their political views, and yeah, hydrogen bombs.
