JESSICA JONES SEASON 3 REVIEW

Image
Well, here we are, at the end of the Marvel Netflix shows, all concluding with Jessica Jones season three, which seems like it was not supposed to even have been filmed, as the show was technically canceled before the new season aired, but nevertheless, here we are. Spoilers ahead for Jessia Jones season three, let’s recap. Recap Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter) decides to ditch her old ways and starts to “give a shit.” When Jessica is pitted against a serial killer, Gregory Salinger (Jeremy Bobb), Jessica must stay on the path of legality to do what is right to put away Salenger. Especially before Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) who has now developed superpowers starts to go off the rails as the new vigilante, Hellcat. Review The tone of the season was well in line with the other two seasons. There was the dark gritty tone that the show is known for by being based in the greasy underbelly of New York City known as Hells Kitchens. Salinger also made this season feel darker...

BANJO AND KAZOOIE JOIN SMASH ULTIMATE

Image
A new Smash challenger approaches at E3 as Nintendo has announced the latest character to join the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster. And that character is actually two characters, Banjo and Kazooie- in their two for one classic duo. Before we get into the actual trailer, let’s take a look at their history. Side note: if your confused, Banjo is the bear (his name is based off the instrument he plays, the banjo), and Kazooie is the red bird (her name is based off the instrument, the kazoo). Banjo and Kazooie were created in 1998 where they debuted in the game of their own names “Banjo-Kazooie”.  That game was developed by Rareware, the company which developed the beloved Donkey Kong games, and the original game was released in the Nintendo 64. In that game, the storyline follows Banjo and Kazooie stopping the evil witch Gruntilda who captured Banjo’s sister. Banjo and Kazooie have had numerous platform games, three main games, “Banjo-Kazooie” (1998), “Banjo-Tooie” (...

AVENGERS: A-DAY GAME TRAILER BREAKDOWN

Image
Hey everyone, E3 is going on right now, and we finally got a trailer for the Square Enix Avengers game, after two years of waiting. In the trailer we see the story develop, in terms of the Avengers team, and villain that we may fight, and get a look into some of the locations we will play at. The Team In the trailer, we hear a voice over from a female describing meetings her heroes, the Avengers, who are celebrating their own holiday. It seems like in the universe that this game is set in, we will have a fully developed Avengers team who are all notable heroes. In this team we have: Captain America Black Widow Iron Man The Hulk Thor This team is essentially the same original team from the first Avengers film, albeit, minus Hawkeye. In the future, we will probably see more characters join the team. If I have to place bets on who may join the team in the future it would be: Hawkeye, War Machine, Falcon, Ant-Man, and the Wasp.  These characters just s...

WONDER WOMAM 1984 POSTER BREAKDOWN

Image
A brand new poster for Wonder Woman ‘84 has come out with new armor for the princess of Themyscira,  Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) which is probably used in the final battle of the film. I will get into what this particular armor might be used for and what might be happening in Wonder Woman 84. In the comics, Diana has dawned a gold, full-body armor several times. One of the most notable gold armors that Diana has sported in the comics was the Golden Eagle Armor. This live-action suit is not the Golden Eagle suit, as the wings are absent, however, the design and of course, the coloring does look reminiscent. The use for that suit was for Diana to have more protection when fighting against Imperiex in the “Our Worlds at War” story. Of course, this story is not going to be what the Wonder Woman sequel is going to be adapted from, because that is Justice League event, and delves into more cosmic aspects. When looking at the villains of the film, we know that Cheeta is going t...

X-MEN FILMS RANKED

Image
With the Dark Phoenix closing off the 20th Century Fox X-men franchise, I decided to take a look at every other X-Men film that has been released over the past 19 years, and rank them, from the worst to the best. Let's just say that the films have varied, a lot  in terms of their quality. But what better time to reminisce over the good and the bad of Fox's X-men run. 11. X-men Origins: Wolverine The first ‘solo’ film in the X-men franchise was such a disappointment in what it displayed on screen. Although High Jackman’s Wolverine is always fun to see on screen, and it was okay to see his origin, there were so many other flawed aspects of this film which just broke this film. One of my biggest complaints with this film is what happened to Deadpool, the merk with a mouth with no mouth. What this solidified for me was that Fox just does not care in adapting characters from comics to film. But at least we now have the best live action Deadpool, who will survive th...
