THE AVENGERS TEAM AFTER ENDGAME
With the new Spider-Man Far From Home trailer out, I was thinking about Peter Parker's adventures after Endgame, and what everyone else will be up to after Thanos is seemingly defeated and the snap is reversed. I was of the mindset that the Avengers team would go on with a new roster, but then I realized, what if there was no Avengers team after Endgame?
So first, let's take a look at where the heroes are most likely going after Endgame by going through the Phases they were introduced as heroes.
PHASE ONE
Phase one heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, and War Machine.
The Phase One here, are the ones at the top of mine and everyone else death predictions for Endgame. Most of their contracts are up after Endgame, so it seems the most likely. So characters like Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine, and even Hawkeye may not come out alive. The heroes who don't die will most likely go into retirement after nearly a decade of Avenging. In terms of the heroes that live, I'm assuming we will see more of Black Widow and Thor in the future. Especially with the Black Widow solo film next year, and the possibility of Thor 4.
PHASE TWO
The Phase Two heroes: Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Winter Soldier, and Ant-Man.
Most of the phase two heroes are heading to television with their Disney Plus tv series. We know of the Falcon and Winter Soldier tv show, the Scarlet and Vision show, the Loki series, and also the potential Lady Sif series. So we will be seeing a lot of the phase two heroes on TV, and they will most likely appear in the future films as well. In terms of Ant-Man, we know that he will have a third film in phase four.
I would include the Guardians in here, but they wouldn't be in any Avengers team after Endgame. Or that's until at least Marvel wants to use some of those characters more after their third film.
PHASE THREE
The Phase Three heroes: Spider-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and the Wasp.
So this one is obvious, all the new heroes are getting more films and creating trilogies. I did think that these heroes would make the next Avengers team, but then in their solo films, everyone would ask "Can't they just call the Avengers" like what happened in Phase Two. Yeah, the heroes could call for help from other heroes, however, stakes may not be too high, such as Spider-man Far From Home, or the films may be in a secluded area where all the other heroes may not need to show up such as Doctor Strange and Black Panther's films.
So it seems like to avoid having every film being a large team up film, there will be no current Avengers roster, rather, every hero will be protecting the planet (and the galaxy) by themselves on their separate ways. There are going to be more heroes such as Shang-Chi, and Nova coming to the MCU in the near future in phase four, and they will be like the phase three heroes, creating their own trilogies.
This doesn't mean that there will be no Avengers 5. There will be, but we will probably see the Avengers being assembled separately like we did in the first Avengers film, and in Infinity War. We can speculate what the team will be in Avengers five, and the story is as a whole later past Endgame.
In conclusion, I believe that after Endgame there will be no one on the Avengers roster, rather than just everyone else going on separate Avengers and assembling later on for Avengers 5.
