AVENGERS INFINITY WAR CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS
Hey everyone Vanity Fair just released some fresh new covers featuring Avengers Infinity War stuff, as seen by these covers and some other images inside which reveals the look of almost every charcter in the film. To start off let's look at the images above, the covers. The first cover as Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Black Widow (Scarlett Johnsson), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The second cover has Vision (Paul Bettany), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). The third cover has the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). The fourth cover has Spiderman (Tom Holland), Peper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
Looking at the covers they look really awesome, seeing the new costumes of the characters. From the first image, you can see that Iron Man is wearing the same armor from Civil War, that being the Mark 46. But we do know that in Infinity War, Iron Man will have the Mark 48 suit. On that cover is Black Widow and Falcon in their Infinity War costumes which we have seen before, Black Widow here is sporting the light blonde hair which is a change to the appearance of the character. Thor is the biggest mystery on the cover. Spoiler for Thor Ragnarok, because what happened in that film does not coincide with what is on this cover. In Ragnarok, Thor loses his hammer, Mjolnir to Hela, and at the end of the film, he loses his eye. On the cover Thor is sporting Mjolnir which is interesting, he might get it back through the use of the time stone. But the eye situation is a little more complicated. Obviously Vanity Fair could not get access t the eye patch on also they most likely did not want to spoil the end of Ragnarok.
On the second cover, Captain America is wearing the Winter Soldier costume which is weird. I do not believe in Infinity War he will be wearing that costume, however, he will be wearing the one he wore in Civil War which has the star ripped off. Hawkeye, War Machine, and Vision look the same. Wasp is included on the cover. She will not appear in Avengers Infinity War but will debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and then in Avengers 4. So you can see that cover to be Avengers 4 teaser in a way, but all the images are there to show off marvel 2018.
The third cover is great, we have Hulk in the back which is a weird transformation point between Bruce Banner and the Hulk. This was done for practical reasons, but it looks awesome. In the center of the cover is Scarlet Witch who seems to have a lighter hair color, which almost borderlines red, but that might just be the lighting. On the left of her is Black Panther who is wearing the suit he will be wearing in his own film, while Antman is also wearing his new suit that he will be wearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The fourth cover has Spiderman hanging from the top, where he is wearing the old suit, not the new one. That is like the Thor situation, to protect spoilers from people who have not seen Spiderman Homecoming, even though it came out a while ago. Also, the new Iron Spider suit may be hard to do on a photo shoot as it looks like it has a lot of CG aspects to it. The only Guardian of the Galaxy on any of the covers, Star-Lord, is here, wearing the same costume he usually wears with the red jacket. The reason why he is the only Guardian here for the covers may be because of the practicality, the other actors may be unavailable, and his costume is the easiest to put on compared to everyone else. Pepper Potts is back in the film, after a long absence in the MCU. She seems like she will be there to boost the emotional journey of Iron Man's arc in the film, as this may be one of the final Marvel movies he does. Doctor Strange is also in the image wearing the same suit as we last saw him in.
There were some other images released, which have over 30 characters. Below are all the images, which I will list the characters that are in them.
In this last image, we have Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
So that does it for all the images, these are characters from Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, all these characters may all appear in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4. But on Instagram the Russo brothers (directors of Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4), where teasing the release date of the Infinity War trailer. They posted an image of a 3. That could mean three days away or on the third of December. Anyway, it is coming soon. I bet it will be on the first of December in three days as a part of the Agents of SHIELD Season 5 premiere.
