THE GIFTED EPISODE 1 PREVIEW

The first six minutes of the new Marvel and Fox tv show, The Gifted is out; released officially. In the footage, we see how this gang of mutants come together. We have Thunderbird (Blair Redford), with Polaris (Emma Dumont), and Eclipse (Sean Teale) out to find other mutants in what seems to be an almost post-apocalyptic time for the mutants. So in the show, they first find Blink (Jamie Chung) who seems to be going solo. As seen in the clip. After this clip, it seems like this mutant squad will encounter the main protagonist of the series, that being the Strucker family.

In the clip, we see some really awesome stuff. Especially from Polaris, with her powers and all. The special effects in the show look really neat, and it seems like there is a bit of a budget going into the show. In the show, they will probably be ambiguous about her origin, as her father is Magneto and I don't think that the show will be able to have Magneto on, as cool as it would be.  Looking at the clip. it seems as though Polaris is going to be separated from the rest of the main characters.

In the show, the main antagonist is the sentinel service which is a police force which locks up mutants. Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) works for the service but runs away after he finds out his kids are mutants. In the show, there are mini sentinel robots which were seen in a previous trailer. It will be interesting to see if any mutant villains will develop through the show.

Anyway, the Gifted looks like an awesome show. I will most likely do a recap and review on the first episode, but after that, it is all up in the air. That is just because of the schedule for everything else. But comment below if you would like to see weekly reviews. I would also like to hear your thoughts on the first six minutes of the show,, down in the comments below. As always thanks for reading take care.
