AGENTS OF SHIELD "REWIND" REVIEW

Season 5 Episode 5:

Hey everyone, we are back with a brand new episode of Agents of SHIELD and this time we get a Fitz centered episode where we see his journey to save his team as he teams up with Lance Hunter and some other people from the show's past. Spoilers ahead for the episode, let's do a quick recap.

We pick up with Fitz leaning that his team was taken at the diner. Fitz is then arrested by the military as the LMD Dioasy shot Talbot. Fitz is in prison as he helps the military trace where the rest of the SHIELD team are. Not finding any clues, Fitz gives up. However, Lance Hunter shows up. Getting Fiz's secret messages, Lance busts Fitz out of prison.

Using so security footage from the diner, Hunter and Fitz track down a mysterious man, Enoch, who tells Fitz that he sent his friends to 2091 to fulfill a prophecy. Enoch reveals that he is an alien who has been on Earth for a couple thousand years to help make the prophecy come to life. Enoch introduces Fitz and Hunter to Robin, the daughter of the future seeking Inhuman (from season 3). Robin's mother, Polly tells the Agents that Robin has been drawing stuff from the future, as she inherits her father's powers. Robin was the one who drew on paper the Agents in space which gave Enoch the prophecy.

After being chased by the military, Enoch takes Fitz, Hunter, Robin, and Polly to a bunker where Fitz says that he will go into the future. Enoch tells Fitz that he has a cryo freeze pod in the military base. Fitz and Hunter o back to the military base where they find the pod. They also find the Quinjet, and after a gunfight, they fly away back to the bunker. Fitz stores some supplies in the bunker for 2091. Hunter tells Fitz and Enoch that he and Bobby will look after Robin and Polly. Fitz then says bye to Hunter as he gets frozen for 74 years. Fitz wakes up on a spaceship in 2091 where he is greeted by Enoch as he tells Fitz about his plan.

This episode was an insanely awesome episode. I thoroughly enjoyed the way that the characters were introduced and how we learned about why Enoch sent the Agents to 2091. In the episode, there were so many great moments. From the scenes between Fitz and Lance and their final Empire strikes back goodbye, to the reintroduction of Robin and how she inherited her father's powers. I was intrigued with all the plots in the episode and how they all tied together.

The cast of the episode was what made this a remarkable episode. We had Iain De Caestecker (Leo Fitz), Nick Blood (Lance Hunter), Lexy Kolker (Robin Hinton), Lola Glaudini (Polly Hinton), Joel Stoffer (Enoch), Zibby Allen (Lt. Evans), Joe Layton (Lt. Lucas), and Catherine Dent (General Hale).

In conclusion, this episode of Agents of SHIELD was great in the way it showed us the development of the character of Fitz and how he may be in the season going forward as he is still dealing with the repercussions of season 4. The return of Lance Hunter was also a highlight in the episode, giving us a clue as to what he and Mockingbird are and will be doing since their show was not picked up. I will give this episode of Agents of SHIELD a 9 out of 10. I would like to hear your thoughts on the episode down in the comments below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
