J.J ABRAMS DIRECTING EPISODE IX


After Colin Trevorrow "mutually parted ways" with Disney and Lucasfilm on directing Star Wars Episode 9, speculation was up in the air of who would take on the last chapter the sequel trilogy. People thought that director of the last Jedi, Rian Johnson would direct the sequel, but it has been confirmed that The Force Awakens director, J.J Abrams will be directing Star Wars episode 9.
This is some really awesome news, J.J started off the trilogy well, hopefully, he can end it as well. 

I wouldn't have minded J.J directing the film or Rian Johnson, I also would have been open to other directors taking on the film. But J.J has superior knowledge to what is going to go down in the sequel trilogy which makes him a great fit.

Also regarding episode 9, Disney did the smartest thing and pushed the release of the film back from May 2019 to December 20, 2019, due to the change of the director. I honestly prefer Star Wars at Christmas time, and why would you put Star Wars in competition with you other biggest franchise in May? It would have been too chaotic. But it is all fine now, Episode IX is going to come out in December, it's only competition the week earlier will be Wonder Woman 2.

Anyway, I would like to hear your thoughts on J.J Abrams directing Episode IX, what ever it is going to be titled. I personally trust JJ for the job of directing the film.   Well, I have not posted anything on here in the past year, except for this, my year in review of this year. This year had the theme of 'getting back to normal' after the lockdown phase of the pandemic. And, yes it is nice to the world healing. But for the step taken forward, I feel as though the world has taken two steps backwards. Through lockdowns I felt like humanity would launch itself into becoming a more robust, empathetic society, but this year kind of disproved that. I could go on about how we are taking no significant steps towards the climate crisis, or the ever expanding wealth gap, or any other issue that plagued us in the before times. 2021

2021, this year is everything a sequel to 2020 had to offer. From the glimmers of hope of getting out of this pandemic to the plunges of darkness that parts of the planet saw itself in at times, this was mostly a bitter year with some hints of a sweeter future in it. In the poster I made above I wanted to capture some of the biggest things which happened this year, and looking back, it is insane to see what took place. From an attempted fascist coup of the American government, the global supply shortage, the summer Olympics happening (for some reason), and not one, but two highly transmissible strains of C19. Movie theaters opened back up this year (kind of). A lot of 2020 films that were pushed back saw their release. But who cares about that, we had TV show movie hybrids this year. CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS PART II REVIEW ... SPOILERS

Part Two: Hey everyone, we are back with the second part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, this time on the Batwoman series. In this episode we see the Monitor’s plan fall into play, as a few new concepts are introduced. So spoilers ahead for the episode, lets recap. THE LAST CHALLENGERS ARE APPROACHING!

With only two characters left to be revealed in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate's DLC Pack Two (and seemingly the last two of the game) speculation has been running rampant. Whether both characters are revealed during Nintendo's June 2021 Direct, or one is revealed at a later date, I have my mind set on two possibilities of who the last two characters could be. IMPA,  The Legend of Zelda Out of Nintendo's flagship franchises, the Legend of Zelda has been grossly underrepresented in the crossover games of all crossover games. Since the announcement of Ultimate, over three years ago, Impa was the Zelda character I wanted the most to be a playable fighter. I know that Skull Kid was/ is the more popular Zelda rep, however, Impa felt more deserving in my eyes. The character, in various incarnations, has been a staple of the Zelda franchise since the very first game (says the manual). Sorry in advance that this post is late. 2023 is a year that had several lows, but I would say there were sprinklings of light throughout that may give me rose-colored glasses when looking back on it. As we approach closer to 2030, I can not help but to feel anxious about the 'kicking the can down the road' attitude that most  government about the Climate Crisis we are living through. With the hottest summer ever recorded and destructive wild fires and floods in most continents, the need to save the habitability of life on Earth is desperately needed. Immense change must be made into how we use and depend on resources. In a just world, there would be no Climate Crisis. But politicians fueled by their own greed and who only look out for the welfare of the rich, do not want to.
