RICK AND MORTY PICKLE RICK REVIEW

Season 3 Episode 3:

Rick and Morty is back and this time we have the introduction of Pickle Rick! This episode was one of my favorites, so let's do a quick recap of the episode.

In trying to get out of a therapy session with Beth and the kids, Rick turns himself into a pickle and accidentally gets stuck as Beth confiscates the cure. He manages to use his mouth to kill a cockroach and eventually control its limbs and makes his way to using mouse limbs to control his pickle body. Meanwhile, the Smiths family minus the dad is a therapy where they have an awkward time discussing why Rick turned himself into a pickle.

Back with Pickel Rick, he gets out of the sewers and finds himself in a highly secure facility, which sends the place into chaos. Rick tears his way through security guards, killing them as a pickle. The leader of the facility sends out a prisoner (with his daughter hostage by the facility), Jaguar to hunt for Rick which he does, and after a fight with Rick, Rick wins and he finds out the Jaguar's daughter is already dead. Rick creates a trap for the facility leader on the rooftop where he and Jaguar take the escape helicopter.

Rick arrives at therapy as a pickle where they discuss why Rick avoided the therapist. The family heads home, Rick turns back to human form, he and Beth go out to get some food.

the post credit scene of the episode was the title clip in the title sequence where all the Ricks and out C137 RIck and Morty are trapped on the Paino and are about to be squashed, but they are saved by Jaguar.

In the episode, it was interesting that the main premise was ultimately Rick not wanting to go to therapy, and how far he went to avoid it. The simple plot such as this wouldn't make for a great episode, but it did because Rick does such far-fetched experiments which can turn a simple plot into a fascinating one. I really enjoyed seeing Pickle Rick in the episode tear through so many security guards, it was fun to see.

The cast in the episode was great, we had Justin Roiland as Pickle Rick and regular Morty. But Pickle Rick was the best character in the episode by far, because he was a pickle. The rest of the cast was great in the episode, Summer Smith (Spencer Grammer), Beth Sanchez (Sarah Chalke), Brandon Johnson (Mr. Goldenfold), Danny Trejo (Jaguar), and Doctor Wong (Susan Sarandon).

Overall the episode was great, it had a self-contained story which introduced such an awesome alternative of Rick, Pickle Rick. I will give the episode a 9 out of 10. Comment below your thoughts on the episode down below. As always thanks for reading, take care.
