TRANSFORMERS REVIEW ... SO SPOILERS
Transformers focuses around the heroic Autobots, lead by Optimus Prime, who are in a war with the Decepticons, lead by Megatron to fight for the all powerful Allspark. However the Allspark is on Earth which brings the two factions to the planet, and put it in imminent threat, however, human, Sam Witwicky is there to try to save the world, with the Autobots from inhalation.
What makes Transformers. well, Transformers is all the explosions, for 2007, I guess the special effects passed, now they look like they could be improved upon a little, but that is shown in the rest of the franchise. Speaking of the effects, the Transformers themselves looked great for 2007, but some of those effects have been outdated, and they have been improved, especially in 3 and 4.
The cast in Transformers, yeah it was okay, we had a pre-"let's do it" Shia Lebouf, who did good. Megan Fox, yeah she was okay in the film. Josh Duhamel was alright as the lieutenant in the film.
But the voice cast in the film as was great, Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), Mark Ryan (Bumblebee), Robert Foxworth (Ratchet), Ren Wilson (Frenzy), and Hugo Weaving (Megatron).
Overall Transformers was a solid start to a franchise, there was not too much plot or character development, however, the spectacle took over for that, but Michael Bay did a great job, so I will give the film a 7 out fo 10.
